I am a Research Software Engineer (RSE) at the Juelich Super Computing Centre in Forschungszentrum Juelich. Before that, I was an RSE at the Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics (RoCS) which is part of the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Oslo. My interests include computational sciences, algorithms implementations, and high performance computing.

During my PhD I was in the Physics and Astronomy department at Stony Brook University working with the nuclear astrophysics group. As part of my research, I workied on hydrodynamics simulations of white dwarfs merging using the AMR code Castro. I contributed to the efforts of including an MHD solver in Castro.

Other non academic interests include swiming, dancing and learning about different cultures.

Previous education

I did my underdraduate studies in Physics at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala and earned a Global UGRAD scholarship to do my sophomore year abroad at North Central College in Naperville, IL.
